The transfer window rumbles on, but league action is back on Wednesday just days after domestic football resumed for Hibs with a narrow victory over Forfar at Station Park in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.

With much to discuss, Hibs Observer editor Patrick McPartlin was joined by Liam Bryce to discuss the latest issues from Easter Road. One signing has already been completed - attacker Myziane Maolida, who has signed on loan from Hertha Berlin until the summer - while free-agent midfielder Luke Amos is currently training with the first team. With the deadline on the horizon, Hibs are continuing to work hard on bolstering the squad having - by Nick Montgomery's admission - come close to landing a defender last week.

But in the meantime, there is the visit of Rangers on Wednesday night with fans hopeful of an improvement from the tepid display against League Two opposition at the weekend.

Christian Doidge was the goal hero in Angus - and also cleared a Forfar effort off the line - but his contract is up in the summer and he appears to be open to moving on, saying: "I've got to try to look after myself. It's a short career so if something does come up, I'll be quite happy to move on if I have to."
