Mykola Kukharevych says Hibs have taken their Edinburgh derby draw with Hearts like a defeat.
The Ukrainian striker's second-half goal looked set to earn David Gray's side a badly-needed three points, and a morale-boosting win over their city rivals. But familiar failings struck again as Hibs conceded an 86th minute equaliser to drop a further two points in their toiling Premiership campaign.
The result keeps them bottom of the pile with a now highly-significant visit to Ross County looming on Wednesday night. Kukharevych admits the joy of scoring against Hearts was wiped away by yet another late setback, with the 24-year-old at a loss to explain why it keeps happening.
“Almost. It was so close," said the on-loan Swansea City forward. “It’s always an amazing feeling to score in games like this, a derby with a full stadium. It’s unbelievable. I was so happy in the moment.

Hibs instant analysis: Same old story as Hearts snatch late point
“But it’s disappointing to lose a goal in the last minutes just like the last game and not get the three points. It feels like we lost the game because we lost such a late goal. We were so close to the win. But we have to be better in the last part of the game. We will work on that.
“I don’t know what’s to blame. We have to stay concentrated until the last second of the game. I know it’s hard, we get tired, but we have to concentrate until the last second. We have to work on the finishing, analyse al the small details. It’s not small because we lost goals. But we have to view it and everyone take responsibility for these moments.
